I am due to start tramping with Stobarts in the next few weeks. I know they don’t have fridges in the cabs. Would anyone know anything about the above fridge. On the Waeco website there is a battery monitor that can be used with it and it mentions 5 amps? I presume I will be in a Scania, is this suitable or will it flatten the battery? Don’t understand current draw etc.

its pretty good cooler m8 but leave it full on till just b4 u turn lights out and it will stay cool thru the night /no battery worry then
I used to have one…And never turned it of except at weekends…Never had a prob with the batteries…They are good fridges…
You would be better getting a compressor fridge/freezer. I’ve got the waeco cdf36 and can highly recommend it, top bit of kit. I leave it on all the time set at +2 and it keeps a constant temperature. It Can be set at anything between between +10 and -18, its silent and draws only 2 amps and even then that’s only when the compressor kicks in.
