If you think 15 mins is too short just take one 30 minute break, problem solved if working under 9 hours.
on the other hand, if the driver is going to work 15 hours, driver starts shift at 06:00, at 12:00 takes a 15 minute WTD break (rules 1 and 4), he will then need his next 15 minute break no later than 18:15 (rules 1, 3 and 4), then, he must take a final 15 minute break no later than 20:30 (rules 3 and 4)
The rules state that required breaks cannot be taken at the end of a shift. IE having the last 15 minutes of your 45 minutes total break from 20:45 - 21:00 would be illegal but there’s nothing in the regs that say you must start that break no later than 20:30.

was using that as an example Terry, that way, he gets his last 15 minutes in, followed by 15 minutes of other work before finishing the shift
it was used to explain that you do not need a 15 minute break at 9 hours
The way I read the regs are its a MINIMUM of 15/30/45, if I want a bit more I’ll take it. As long as the deliveries are getting done and your not totally taking the ■■■■ what the issue, is your boss that hard up over 15 mins.
