Had a phone call today from a company asking if I did w+d training. They explained because of the nature of their work which is towing plant trailers they need a couple of their drivers upgrading to c+e and didn’t want them to get experience on the artic combination.
Made me smile especially after all the exhausted posts on the two different combinations.
I’ve also had this. One of the biggest employers in my locality is Sports Direct at Shirebrook. They have a mixed fleet of artics and w+d and are very happy to take our drivers trained on w+d. There is no question that artic is the more common configuration but the perceived antagonism towards w+d is more myth than anything else.

I trained on a dragon and wag and despite all the crap posted on here, I had no problem whatsoever when I was given the keys to an artic for the first time.
