Held my O licence since January, and just had my VOSA advisory maintenance assessment at the Shrewsbury test station.
I must say that couldn’t have been more helpful and courteous, and keen to offer advice and support.
Satisfactory all the way as it happens, might have been different otherwise and maybe they keep their Rotwiellers out the back, but my first experience with them is positive. I hope I can keep it that way!
All ok now but your opinion will change when they pull you into a roadside check and prohibit your vehicle for some trivial little offence such as a cracked light or a holed wing.

or a missing spray suppression flap from the rear mudwing of a trailer 
just fidget and mutter a bit about the second coming, it’s surprising how quickly they get you out the gate (or phone so 19)
