I don’t think the receptacle that holds the things called fries can be called a box or a bag. Just saying like.

More pedantic than thou.

Love it !!

I pulled on Hartshead Moor Services Westbound at 1200 today. I hadnt even switched the engine off and there was two VOSA chappies stood by my door. They were walking around the services with their toffee hammers doing spot checks. They had parked their Mini by the steps and were prowling about, no VOSA car an ordinary Mini.So beware peeps look out for a little black Mini parked in Truck area.

I am unsure what the issue here is… can you enlighten me? As far as I can see the department set up to enforce current legislation, around haulage, are at a place where hauliers are known to be at, all seems fairly logical to me, and as everyone using this forum runs 100% legit their presence at a place where you might visit should be welcomed- they may catch out a few cowboys who are undercutting your work and driving your wages down .

I fully agree wholeheartedly with this statement but do have to add its the silly things that as a driver you may be unaware of that they (vosa, ministry, dvsa, whatever) tend to find and then penalise the driver, and no one is whiter than white anyone can drop a bollock with tachograph rules and its these instances that make some people wary of encounters with such organisations.

I’d be very very very wary of them. Ive never ever seen VOSA/DVSA in a plain car. Sounds like a pair of crooks on the prowl to me. At the very least you should be asking for ID.

They showed me their ID

I dont know you put a bit of info on here and it attracts the Dudley Doorights and Cyber Warriors get a life ya sad gits.

Exactly. You can think your 100% legal and think you have nothing to fear from them and for the most part that’d be true. Most of the ones I’ve had dealings with have been ok and I’ve never had any bother. But it only takes the one jumped up little jobsworth hitler and you can guarantee that you will be leaving with a fixed penalty no matter how squeaky clean you think you are
