Nothing new been doing it for years was more common before VOSA had the power to stop vehicles onthe road!!
I got a prohibition on a transit from one of them at least ten years ago.
Got pulled by the traffic car.He said you look a bit heavy,open the curtain.Looked in at the two stillages of steel brackets that weighed over a tonne each and said that`s fine,close the curtain and let this guy have a look at your motor.Looked round and vosa guy was at my back.
Did me on handbrake although the motor was booked in to the garage which was half a mile past the drop for the stillages.
Could have been worse cos that motor was nearly two and a half tonnes empty.
