Why is it that when they decide to bring any new regs in that they don’t tell anyone like us the drivers? it would be nice to know from the horses mouth rather than the donkeys in our transport office (they still havent told us anything with only a few days to go).
The changes were only finalised a couple of days ago, until then nobody knew what they would be so the information could not be passed along. There are a couple of weeks until the minor changes come in, the two effecting the majority of drivers being the requirement to carry more charts than we have had to in the past and the change in the method of recording of other work and POA’s. I would imagine there will be plenty of publicity from various sources in the next two weeks and it isn’t exactly a surprise as it has been stated for a while now that it would happen sometime in May, 20 days after the EU published the info and it happens to be the 1st of May.
The majority of changes don’t come in for almost a year so there is plenty of time for people to get the information.
