does anyone know the correct number or email for who to contact regarding information on the cpc?
I was told to contact vosa did this but got no response, are these the correct people before I ring up
Think these should be contacted first:
I have a blue drivers qualification card which I got shortly after passing my hgv 2 test back in jan 2011. does this mean that I do not have to do any cpc until 2016? my old work put me on 2 courses and when I log online to check my cpc hours it says ive done 14 hours but have been told this is a waste of time. should I not be doing any hours until 2016 yet?

when you passed your test in 2011 you were issued with a dqc that is valid till 2016 between the time you passed your test till 2016 you have to complete 35 hrs of training you have done 14 so you have 21 left to do, once you have completed the 21 hrs you will be issued a new card that will expire in 2021 and then you start all over again.
if you do no training at all and your card expires in 2016 from that date you will not legally be allowed to drive a hgv commercially.
Whoever told you the 14 hour were a wast of time was talking rubbish.
As wildfire has said, the 14 hours periodic training you’ve done since doing the initial DCPC count towards the 35 hours period training you need to do before your current card expires in 2016.

I phoned up a jaupt cpc company and went to book up some courses as someone was paying for the last 3 for me. he said it was a waste of time and I didn’t need to do it

Not a waste of time if you need 21 more hours before 2016 DQC expiry date so you were either informed wrong or misinterpretted what they said
