i went past there and there was a stobart there yesterday with the curtains opened and loads off pallets unstrapped not one

Same at the Leyland checkpoint a few weeks ago. Seems they are getting grief for load security at the moment.

I know this thread is speculation.

Although I can 100% garuntee I was told at Appleton Thorn a few year ago that I would never work for Stobarts ever again.

My crime
:Not taking a fully loaded curtain sider of 26 pallets restrained by 2 internal straps.
Do Stobarts drivers not complete DCPC?
Or if they do are they not a bit thick?

A few of the biomass drivers were on general haulage at Christmas. They were told not to take any loads without straps under any circumstance. I think several customers weren’t happy when their product was collected/delivered with ratchet strap marks over the pallets!

Sounds like the customer needs to start packaging their goods properly for shipment.
Or
Stobarts start using the correct load restraints/trailer for the job.
Ratchet straps are only one of many types of load restraint :unamused:

It’s been mentioned on a different thread last year, Stobart’s only ask want you to cross strap the rearmost 2 pallets.

They reckon that it’s currently ’ under discussion ’ with DVSA.(That’s what we were told). I reckon it works out cheaper via labour cost saving, versus fine’s. (Which ESL will pay for you if your 2 straps were used).

Your 2 day induction counts as 2 annual modules for CPC.

saw them sitting on the north bound slip of J44 last night - got the "follow me " in , over the pit and one dissapeared down into the pit like a rat . No idea what he was looking for - never asked me to turn the steering wheel or press the brakes ( maybe looking for a magnet - he would be out of luck then ) . Lovely lady came looking licence , cpc card and digi card - took them away and came back about 15 mins later along with a golden release coin . Out round to bay one to see the two good lookng ladies from the fuel testing unit to get both my fuel tanks tested .
No defects/ problems on the truck .
No problems with my cards / tachograph .
No problems with my fuel .
Must have really Peeed them off to have to let an Irish truck go on a Saturday night .

I saw a Stobart Haulage grab tipper on Friday near Blenheim Palace. Did anyone else see it?

stobarthaulage.co.uk/
Now you can all see it.

There must have been no flip flopski logistika near you!

I was looking at the stobart app to see what my trucks upto , it’s now been at Carlisle for 4 days :open_mouth: :open_mouth: , I assume it’s at the depot , could be t/ stop , transferred , smashed up , who knows .
But map on app is not the clearest so could be in pounded at vosa station with driver God knows where , I hope they don’t decide to break open locker ( I’ve got keys ) ,or maybe a scan of mature women will sweeten there mood .

LOL at Carlisle Paddy still takes priority over flip flop logistika

they had a flip flop coming in as I was leaving - poor sod - they propably threw the book at him in sheer frustration .
