Did anybody get pulled there this morning?I did there was that many of us trying to get in they about half a dozen go before we got actuall into weighbridge area.
I’ve ignored the digital sign for lgv’s to pull in a couple of times for that weighbridge and nothings ever come of it.
came off at jct and off the r/about,vosa guy was trying to get out in his car and waved few of us away.Wonder if thats going to be a new road into it they are building just at the r/about?

I have never taken notice of that sign, ever, and no-one has ever stopped me or asked me to go back.
been pulled in there before, they took one look at the truck and told me to burger off. lol
They just pull in far too many trucks. Ive been pulled in about 6-7 trucks in front of me waited like a ■■■■ then they take one look at you and tell you to go. I dont how that sign is supposed to work but it should only be turned on when they see a truck they want in. Worst ive ever had in there is a wheel tap unlike Carlisle where i got the fringin works done on me
Having said that i would never drive by it just in case i did get a ‘‘fail to stop’’ which would mean instant dismal in work most probably.
I would like clarity on this sign not by a lorry driver on here but by a traffic police officer that serves in that area.

Would rather go in and have them tell me to be on my way rather drive by.
I just put a CD in my windscreen and they can’t see me.
As a mere lorry driver, this is my take on it.
Until 4th April 2011 VOSA had to have a Police vehicle to stop any vehicles, but a non enforceable yellow sign must have netted a few miscreants. In England and Wales ACPO agreed that VOSA officers could be trained to stop vehicles when the law was different in Scotland for over 10 years
The reason that I have always ignored the sign is because I used to sleep on Stirling cattle market park quite often as I could get home on one card.
Many times the signs were still showing but the ministry were long gone. Now they have got stop powers, the chance of being selective is open to them again.
What exactly are VOSAs powers of stop these days, apart from by car obviously. do they need a copper if they are just stood at the side of a road? or can they just flag you down.
The only signs I have seen are for an overtaking ban for HGVs on the approach to check points on dual carraigeways.
Oh and on 1 occasion, on they way back down from Aberdeen got waved into the check point by the ministry on the outskirts, but ignored them never heard a thing about it, but it was long before the had the power to stop, think they were just trying it on.
Go over the new bridge at Kincardine, just as quick and VOSA are hardly ever there.
I take lorries to livingston m o t station for mercedes benz and i asked the vosa guy about the sign at stirling, he said if the sign is on you must go in, they might just send you away but if you do not go in the police can catch up with you and ■■■■■■ you back to weighbridge and you will be fined.(i think he meant if there was a police officer on the bridge just past the sign he could take your reg). Maybe someone knows because on the fuel tankers unless i was directed off the motorway i just carried on and have never been pulled over.
