Hi all, the climate control/heater on my 2008 Volvo FM has developed a fault. Its difficult to get cold air to flow and seems to blow out of the wrong direction. If i have the control set to blow air in the foot wells it will blow air on the screen instead. I can get hot air but not cold?? I have taken the heater apart and all the control motors and flaps seem to work. Please help!!
I had the same problem some time back with a 2003 fh with climate control not being able to direct the air properly, I replaced the control panel with the temp and direction knobs on and it cured it. I’ve not seen this problem since then, but it’s a possibility. Have you got another tractor unit you can swap the control panels over and see if it then works? If I remember correctly back in 2003 the new units from Volvo were about £300. Probably a lot more now.
