Is it me or are these blind spit mirrors crap broke two in the last 6 months we deliver to stupid places like farms and builders yards where you can’t even get a car in caught them slightly then snap gone told the manager to get dome metal plates behind them for protection na costs to much money.
If you’re talking out the new ones then yes they do tend to become detached too easily.
I never have a problem with them, then again I do try to avoid hitting anything with them.
They only break if you allow them to hit something…

Burn!!! 
On our fm roll ons we fitted metal guards as they do snap off easy especaly with the nature of the work they do.
the fmx has a better set up with old style mirror arms.
.well and good saying dont hit things if you are trundling up and down motorways different in and out of building sites each day things are different. We have plenty of jobs whhich require mirrors in just to get in the gate.
think theyre designed just to knock sense into cyclists as opposed to doing serious injury
