Volvo fh inverter

Been told there is some wires under the passenger mat where you can connect a inverter to is this true or false

I’m not sure if they’re under the mat in the FH, but in the Renault they were under the bonnet on passenger side IIRC, and there was a gromit already there to feed the wire through

Not wires, but connections, open the bonnet and you’ll see the red live wire behind a black cover on the pass side, this go’s right through the bulkhead, remove the ps dash and you’ll get access to it, lower down in the well their is threaded negative terminals welded to the body behind the lower fuse box. At a max I would say use a 1200w only on this circuit.

You’ll need 1/2 metre jump lead cable black & red, 6 ring connectors to match, and a 100w mega fuse.

Thanks me later.

Yes, I meant connection under the bonnet

I thought I read that this connection was rated to 2000w as this was an option when buying the trucks - to have the inverter (listed as 2000w AC power socket) fitted at ‘factory’

What you runnin’ a disco in there? I just plug my inverter in to the 24v ciggy socket.

thanks to all
