do you have a crane or any other PTO equipment? if so dont use. found this on tinterweb pretty sure it controls things like the revs on demand when you lift a crane or start up a cement mixer etc.
“The Bodybuilder Module (Bodybuilder Module) is an
extension of the vehicle control unit (VECU) and is intended for superstructures, for example cement mixers,
refuse trucks and mobile cranes. The bodybuilder module is secured in a unit together with the vehicle control
unit and is positioned under the dashboard.”
No mate uts a supermarket spec LNG powered Volvo unit. That’s why I can’t work it out as there not really much in the way of added extras
It’s with the workshop now. Incidentally when I dropped it iver there they’d never seen it either
We usually have the “brake wear limit sensor malfunction” warning on the Volvos
wonder wether the gas switchover shizzle is hooked up to that module. Be interested to know, I also drive supermarket spec gas Volvos.

The body builder thingy is “something that just pops up for no reason now and again” apparently. An electrical fault because the module is still on board and the part that tells the module there’s no bodybuild equipment on board (ie tipper, hiab etc etc) to check for has a tizzy and throws that up. Its cured by pulling the 15amp fuse that relates to it and replacing it or by using the kill switch for the power and doing a reset.
So there you go on that. The truck brake fault was separate and something EBS related so that’s being looked into.
Cheers for that, will know if it pops up on one of ours. Always thought volvos were pretty solid but we keep getting different messages pop all mover the shop. All stupid little things but just annoying. Seems worse when its wet weather so not sure how well waterproofed their electrics are…
