Hey, maybe can help the f89 came in the end of '70 september±, but after that lots of F88 became a 89 grill.
Here lots were stolen by drivers who wanted to change their 88’s.
Cheers Eric,
Must have been an 88 if it was right hand drive.

The Siddle Cooks 6x4 was later transferred to Pickfords Birtley depot I think they had a 4x2 as well and I have driven it a couple of times when they needed a night shift and I think that would be early 70s and I think that Harry Gill as also driven it, it was a 240 FB88 with a 8 speed box and only did around 38 mph top speed but was rated at around 100 tons gross
cheers Johnnie

My dad owned the truck in the mid 70s to early 80s Gordon Brown and sons of Rossendale Lancashire, again doing heavy haulage, with a King rear steer trailer . I got my local garage supplier to run the reg through his data log on his computer and it returns with some specifics off the truck which usually indicates that the truck is still in existence , thanks for any comments , links or leads to its whereabouts!

Truck now owned by myself, found in MDF transport yard at Gt Yarmouth, collected and returned home after 42 year absence! Now the restoration begins!
Hi Charlienodrog good luck with the restoration, now there’s some hard work ahead, but at the end of the day it’ll be worth it ! Keep the pics coming ! Good luck.

Wow, amazing find, whose colours is it in? Doesn’t look like MDF, did they give you the spare cab too?

It was in tebay motor repairers colours, converted to a heavy recovery truck with a Holmes lifter crane fitted to it since removed, it took some finding n a thousand phone calls etc, but got it! And the spare cab to assist with cab components, I put battery’s on and it ran instantly , built up air, charges, etc, mechanically great, cosmetically a mountain of work to be done but I will add the pics as the work progresses!
