i took these pics a few years back ive tried to find the original topic but i cant so i,ll repost em again in the hope someone will remember this old girl,as far as i know she,s still in weavers yard in radstock somerset
Definately needs some TLC. Judging by the reg, she’s a 240
i think a wolves reg !!!
Radstock, if it’s Somerset. The phone number looks right for that.
There’s another 88 rotting away (better than this one though) in the owner’s yard in Green Road, Penistone, S Yorks.
The floors not gone yet or she,d be tilting over. it also looks that she may have been a 16 speed and was a 240 the i bet shes had a new
lump put in at sometime
here,s another still rotting away. the passanger door is lodged into the ford, if you move the ford the door will fall off.
i posted this before as i thought it may be ex Carlesburg with the green chassis and mudguards.
John

That one looks like a 290, and not in too bad condition considering. Pity we can’t see the reg, she looks ready for a project…

She sitting in Malta. it seems odd as the interior is blue that would make her earlier than a 290 so maybe its just a grill change. she needs
stacks of welding doing on the cab. and there is no engine and box hence not knowing if she was 240 or whatever. shes still their as i only
took the the photo a couple of months back theres worse about i would think…I looked to see if there was a plating cert in her but it had gone
so did,nt know what year she was.

These one’s look like they’ve sprouted not rotten away!
These were the knackerd cabs that were biffed out,all part of one blokes collection on his South Island property. Not to worry he has quite a few more.

After much thought and deliberation we have decided to go ahead with the full restoration of our own rotting f88 CUJ 17L new and still owned by Alf Arrowsmith and Son, Shropshire. Hoping to get a cab brought over from Oz unless anyone knows of a good cab over here. If anyone is interested I will post some before during and after pictures throughout the resto. Its gotta be done in the next 16 months to celebrate the owners 70th birthday and the planned retirement pigs might fly!!!) of both him and his 1963 Dodge.
That logo with the “seahorse” and a “P”■■ is familiar. I have seen them around but cannot place it.

Hiya …forgot to mention someone had made the bunk higher up on this Volvo you can just see it below the window line
it was made of proper angle iron(not dexion) and was a good job, i suppose it made more storage on the origanl bunk
that might get somones grey matter going.
John
Hi R-JACKO, Will certainly post the pictures once I have worked out how to do so!!! I see there is a great article on the restoration of UAG999R in Heritage Commercials this month as well, and wow, what a way to do it - refabricate the cab. Top marks to the owner for that!!
