Anybody know if this lad is still plying his trade?Dave Wilson from up around Grantham/Sleaford in Lincs.Last time I met him he had an FH12,in the same colour scheme as this.Didn`t look half as good as that outfit pictured above.

That really is a nice looking truck, for me the round headlight ‘F’ series was definately the best looking and I notice you have the (now very rare) original spare wheel carrier!!!

Hi All,
Just found this advert for a Volvo F12 Globetrotter, its a 4x2 , LHD .Judging by the pics, it seems in good condition.
Located in France, but its a truck well worth restoring!.

That looks like it needs buying, the cab looks to be in fantastic condition both inside & out, don’t think much of the colour but the best thing about a resto’ is that you can finnish it in your favorite colour:)
If I didn’t have my F16 I’d be on my way to France to have a look at that beauty!! (“super benny hill show”■■)

Not low reving by modern standards but back in 1982 this was very low rev’s for speed.

PS, remember that’s an old Volvo rev counter with revs/second round the outside & revs/min inside, it’s showing about 1,350RPM @ 50mph.

Othello Transport F12 6x2 pictured in Ancona circa 1984.
Show wagons now but they once pounded the highways, so nice to see them looking so good in retirement!
Interesting to see that on the Paynes green trailer, second to last photo there is Arabic writting on it and the coach writing suggesting they ran to the Middle East. Did they ever actually go that far, was it an occasional service or were they ever a regular on the M/E run??
Have never heard their name mentioned before regarding M/E haulage, maybe TruckerAsh could cast some light on it!

well done mate it looks welll nice i got a k plate 400 f12 globby . its on a few pages previous had her 2 years just starting to do some thing with it, i will have a look thru my photo collection see if i got a photo of yours in its previous life.

Seen your Volvo there, she looks complete enuff, once you get at her she’ll fairly come up. Best of luck with it. Look forward to seeing the finished article.
