Hi Gazzer,
My dad said it may have been but he’s not too sure. I think the company colours are very similar? It was white when they bought it from a company near Heathrow. It was bought by HA & VJ Phillips Transport (Harry Phillips) in Northam (the Railfreight yard). It was sprayed on site by Harry’s brother Mick.

I was lucky at a very young age to go for rides out with my grandfather and when he finished work I was again lucky enough to stay friendly with his boss H P Thompson & Son - he had a son, Ian, who was 10 years older than me and was driving for his father - an Atkinson Borderer at the time. He then bought an F10, S reg, this was the first F10 I ever drove and I was 15 at the time. I’ve more or less been around Volvos ever since, mostly F10s, F12s, F88s, F7s and I now drive a double drive 150 tonne FH12 460 - the best wagon I’ve ever driven was Ian’s F12 on a Y reg, RCU 460Y a 330 with a 16 speed box, a wagon I would gladly swap my FH for if they still made them brand new! So I just thought I would share with you a few pictures of my F10s and 12s I’ve driven over the years - hope you enjoy them!
Superb pics wingnut. Gotta agree with what you say about the old F12s . I’d swap for my 480 scabby tomorro…
anyone out there know where there is an f10 or f12 4x2 for sale as im wanting to restore one for shows much appreciated. Prefer a one that’s half decent but obviously don’t mind doing the odd job.

Good luck in your search, I doubt you’ll get anything that runs these days for less than £5k!! One thing for certain, once restored they’re a great investment.
Ross.
Hi all, Pat Duffys F12 I drove for him ex Mark Comptons motor I do believe one of the only Volvos Pat bought !!
Somewhere in Italy

That green F12 looks really nice but I bet if it’s been done properly it won’t be much less (if not more) than £15,000, it’d still be well more than £10k looking like that if it had oly been ‘cocked’!!
