Just wondering if anyone on here regularly uses any type of supplements in the course of their weekly shift that eleviates or at least makes life more endurable? I’ve always used stuff such as Rhodeola Rosea,a natural adaptogen, alongside vitamins B50 and 5htp but lately I use melatonin capsules from e bay and find them incredible for regulating and harmonising sleep patterns to remarkable effect. For reasons I can’t fathom they are banned in the uk but are wildly popular in America, mainly it seems for jet lag issues.
Anyone else on here tried melatonin? I’ts worth reading up on the stuff and possibly buying in bulk before this avenue is closed to one and all.The stuff I’m reading reckons it’s the ultimate cell detoxifier and all round good guy in the natural medicine world and I swear sleep quality is dramatically enhanced as it actively rests the bodies vital organs allowing the brain to properly rejuvenate. As with all natural products it takes a while for the body to accept new products but believe me this stuff rocks once it’s established within.

you can receive treatment for your obvious hypochondria but this will involve taking more pills and potions to overcome your imaginary illnesses
Apparently taking multi-vitamin tablets can do you more harm than good, if you exceed your recommended daily allowance !!!
I take Vitamin D, because I’m not allowed exposure to the Sun… and also Vitamin C to decrease my stress levels…and Iron tablets because I’m anemic…All in addition to a high protein, low sugar diet…
Life is so boring sometimes, but I guess the specialist knows best
Taking Multi Vitamin or other vitamin and mineral supplements has 2 issues
At best you are just producing very expensive urine, the body filters out 90% of the rubbish you are paying a fortune for.
Kidney, bladder, liver problems caused by a build up of the nonsense.
A balanced diet, regular exercise and good quality sleep (no necessarily a large quantity of sleep) is all you need to keep you awake and more importantly AWARE throughout a shift.
I would seriously research whatever supplements you’re taking, if they are banned in this country there will be a bloody good reason for it.
I used to take cod liver oil pills but the gellatin capsules may have put my bloid lipid levels up.Garlic pills and Vit C too.
Used to take pills that make you think you are full so not to eat too much.Drivet told me to bin them before i killed someone for fainting at the wheel for nit having nutrients in the body.

Yep, agreed.
Unless the doctor says it’s necessary, I wouldn’t take anything without a very good reason. Being a hypochondriac isn’t a good reason.
No comment we make here will convince the OP that he is wrong.
Most of us understand that there is a huge profit driven industry, just like the one that wants us to use cosmetics, out there pushing this stuff to the gullible.
We all know, although we don’t necessarily do it, that keeping healthy requires two things - a balanced diet and some exercise.
