Rob k you will find that the majority of firms like rynart
who do the Eastern countrys have companys in many
of these countrys as the wages are less than in the west,
Rynart has a major complex in Hungary not far from
Budapest which is much larger and better than where
they original came from in Holland,
If you work for many firms over here in mainland
europe they will do there best to get X amount of work
out of you, The dutch are not alone in doing more
work as allowed, but they will pay you for whatever you do
unlike many german firms,

OK Pete.

Let’s try another  - how about Matthews BV ?

how about Matthews BV ?

100 Euro’s a day including your night out money…Quality Job!!!

Either Rynart or Matthews - quality employers indeed!

Th problem with Rynart was that you had to grow a big moustache and have an address in Istanbul to get the job in the first place

Rob i think its going straight over there heads mate
(the laughing smiley at the end kinda points at what robs getting at!)

I don’t see why you need to take the truck home? There’s not many firms who will let you do that. Thought of trying Stobart’s on European work. There’s a chap on here who take chipliners to Belgium and back or they also supply Army bases on the continent. English working for foreign firms will rarely work as they use cheap labour and expect you to run bent as a nine bob note.
(ah, beat me to it).

Tis i of which you speak… Best job i`ve had in a while but you wont get rich quick

A lot of driver’s are too obsessed with making the extra shilling when they would be much better off quality of life wise sticking to a job they enjoy with decent working conditions that may not pay top money. Which is by the sounds of it what you have JB.

Believe me,the pound has never been stronger so foreign outfits cannot hold a candle to our trucking companies.

Yes, the pound is stronger than it really should be, propped up by soaring north sea oil prices; however this is a disadvantage not an advantage to a british company operating in an international market. Costs are in pounds, income in foreign money.
However if competing in the euro zone it should be remembered the euro is strong too.

Thats why UK drivers are better off sticking to UK outfits until the situation changes. An employee is only interested in his take-home pay. The finer points of international economics doesn`t interest him. Why do think all the C bloc drivers bee-line for here. They get top dollar for their hours work. It must be a no brainier.
