Viggnette in Holland

Taking a trip over to the Hook of Holland tommorrow, and have been told I can get my Vignette at the shell garage just off the boat. Can anyone tell me the name of the road so I can put it in my Tom Tom? - Yes I know, before you say it - but it has saved me a lot of time in the past and being a new driver it helps not to have to think about navigating to much.

Thanks

Well unless there is a new sailing from Dover to the Hook, he will be going from Harwich.

Vignettes are available from any Shell in Hiolland and many other places

Its like an all you can eat buffet at meal times on there. Apart from the steep steps going up from the bottom deck to the drivers area its not a bad old boat.

I came back on that boat last night, from the Hoek to Killingholme. Sailing was slightly delayed due to engine problems, but we were still dis-embarking at 7.30 this morning.
The buffet was ok (but, IMHO, no better than ok), the cabin was fine with a proper mattress instead of the usual foam ones and drinks seemed to be reasonably priced.

There’s a lift from the vehicle deck(3) to the main services deck(7) and all the others, but I prefer to use the stairs. Climbing the stairs on the ferries is almost the only exercise I get during the week :open_mouth:

I wouldn’t complain if I got sent that way again.

I can’t give you an address for the Shell station, but its just off the main road between Hoek van Holland and the start of the Autobahn into Rotterdam. It’s at one of the major junctions on the main road and its on your right, below the road (which is on a dyke), so you should be able to see it ok before you pass the junction. A lot of the drivers who are on the ferry with you will be going there for their Vignette, so you can always ask.
