I made a sport out of winding up some of the “fury clog brigade”
I always found that it upset them somewhat if you left a saucer of milk on their cab steps for the clogs.

I pulled in there one lunchtime & a tall UK lout was holding court on why the firm that he had worked for doing Morroco went bust. I thought to myself that would only take two blokes like you on any firm to skint it in a matter of hours. I pulled my truck to the other end of the car park, got out the deck chair & cooked a cracking meal out of the trailer box. Peace & quiet, with only the sound of trucks roaring by; Heaven.
Any news on whats happening regarding eugene ?

sooner or later some pair of numpties would end up rolling round the carpark with one another, over who had the better truck, with the more horsepowershame really, coz i have met some cracking lads too, in these places over the years.
I also made plenty of good friends at Victors & the ‘Cabage patch’, as a confirmed none drinker I made a sport out of winding up some of the “fury clog brigade”, one of these was telling me how he could get 12mpg out of his 144 fully frieghted Spain UK Spain. I (naturally) told him that my 420 Eurostar would always return 15, he didn’t believe me any more than I believed him!!
Sunday 10pm, I watched him pull out revving the living daylights out of his big V8 with the cab nodding with every gearchange, more like 5 or 6 mpg than 12, a ■■■■■■ typical of the breed.
Ross.
i recognise that chap you are on about or lads very similar they had there own uniform keys dangling from belt wallet on a chain furry clogs scania cap or similar and euro tunnel or stena line coat on always something has happened to them on every trip always been sacked from last job never there fault thou, you could meet one anywhere freds, victors there was alot of them at carisio and the cafe at bourg and even the cabbage patch.
if you phone fred from the secure park in coslada he will come and pick you up then drops you back. still plenty of drivers getting in and still a free shower. food still good. as for upstairs downstairs trucks were getting broken into, i always went to the secure park in honda, good eating house outside.
has the security guard gone from upstairs downstairs then■■?
1st time i stopped there a few years back, this 2 bob security bod turns up, bout 5 mins after i parked, and asked for money for me too stay the weekend
i found this odd, as i’d never been asked too pay too park in europe prior too this. i asked what happened if i didn’t pay, and he pointed too the corner, where there was a stripped out, battered shell of a truck , suffice too say i payed, and the truck was fine, when i left monday morning too get the rest of my tiles
