Vehicle VOR before break

Right so on my 1st shift myself everything was going well, i was going back to the depot where i had planned to take a break as i had been doing driving/otherwork for 5hours 40minuites. I noticed my tail light had stopped working so i reported it to my manager. So long story short i had to swap vehicles literally before my break so took my digi card out of said broken wagon and it took me about 15minuites to get it back into my new wagon.
My question is how would this work for breaks? I put it on break asap but didnt allow my 15minuites to carryout daily checks as i would have got an infringement.
I just ended up taking a 1hour break and continued with ny shift which lasted just over 9hours. Have i done anhthing against the rules here…?

You do not get infringements for not showing 15 mins of vehicle checks

Any missing time must be manually inputted or written on a printout as all time during a shift must accounted for

See thats the thing i took a printout at the end so alls i have to do is show i was on otherwork for 15minuites that my digi card wasnt inserted? But if i do that i think i think i would have been a couple of minuites over the 6hours…which i thought would have caused the infringement?

If you are referring to the WTD then do not worry as all that are given are internal company infrongements

Ahhh question answerd then. Thanks for the reply much appreciated.

Could you have said to them “I am due a break?” then swapped after it?

What I’d do in that situation is put my card in the new vehicle and put it straight on break. Have your 15 or 45 minute break then once that’s over you can show some other work on your card showing you’ve checked the new vehicle over.

Thats exactly what i done but i wasnt sure how to show the 15minuites in between swapping it as it still hadto be accounted for.
Im probably making mountains out of molehills to be fair.

You needed to do a manual entry. Click here for some videos on how this is done.
