Although the phone is locked and takes between 19 and 21 button presses to make a call! So much for hands free 
Just a phone. And if I had my way I wouldn’t have that. I kinda miss the old days when you turned up at the Wheelhouse in Dover and phoned up to say “I’m back”.
In CM there is an advert offering Tracking for 15p a day per unit…
At that price its hard for operators to ignore, its only likely to come down as the technology gets more widespread so those that don’t have it yet are probably likely to see it soon!

Luckily, my boss regards it as intrusive and wouldn’t have it fitted for that reason, but I imagine 15p per day would be tempting to many operators.
I have had it before but I certainly don’t like it, it gives me the creeps to think I am being tracked.

New firm Start monday 28th, i know they have trackers, not sure bout other stuff. I dont currently have sat nav, never really trusted them to be honest.

hands free phone is open and as long as it’s not abused i can use it for personal calls
oh and we have a tom tom (he got them free with the tracking package)
telemetry/gps/e-mail /electronic log book all in one gizmo.

my last job the truck was tracked but they would still ring up with the imortal “how long till you get there”
handy tip: stick a drawing pin throught the tracker antenae wire in a unobtrusive place and they won’t be able to see where you are 
Most who answered “only got mobile phone” may be surprised that it contains a tracker.
I have telemetry, trackers, telephone, email communications and a computer logging every overspeed or excessive hours. Big brother, not here pal

But this in itself will make you very conspicuous and you’ll be asked to call into the closest Volvo workshop to have the problem fixed.

my lot must of had a rubbish system because about once a day they would ring up and say something like “where are you mat? the tracker is stuck at 11.30” modern technology eh
