Vehicle Suitability For C&E Practical Test

Posting this here here as seem to be a few instructor types about. Will post in operators too.

We want to let someone do their C & E practical test in one of our vehicles.

The only suitable trailer we have is a rear steer. (Command steer type linked to fifth wheel).

I cannot see if that is not allowed in some clause or other as the DVSA site is a nightmare to navigate.

Not sure why it should be as it’s advantages in negotiating roundabouts etc. are often outweighed by the tail swing.

Rules I found :- gov.uk/guidance/rules-for-l … ving-tests
