Hi all, I am looking for any reccomended commercial vehicle body work companies, in Suffolk, or any I would be best to avoid! I am looking at having a tractor unit cab repainted, I am expecting to pay around £1500, has anybody recently had any similar work done? and if so approx how much did it cost ( not a custom job just a solid colour, possibly mettalic ) Any suggestions good or bad are welcome!

Thanks for the info, I will give said companies a call, no I wouldn’t be doing any prep work which means my guesstimate was out a bit!!

What Goaty says, if your going to keep it for a year or two spec 2pac and expect to pay around £2.5 k for a single coulor.

I’ve had a quote for full body respray on the Magnum horse box, in met blue for €3500, only thing it’s in Katowice, still top hotels there are about €35 a night and a good meal for €2 so I’ll be getting it done there next summer, nice 5 or 6 days off.
A whole horsebox in metallic for €3500? Considering the price for quality paint is more or less the same all over europe, I’d say that price is only possible using low-quality materials. I don’t think the price of labor is much more in my neck of the woods but around here a good respray in metallic would be around €2000. For my 730d BMW mind, not an Hgv. You can skimp on good primer and clear coat - the prices can vary up to five times, the cheap clear coat will be matte in a year.
