Hi all day to day I normally drive the same vehicle but recently due to being a agency driver I drive all sorts of different sized vehicles obviously the vehicle hight is never a problem as we have the hight indicater In the cab and weight is also no real problem because we have the weight plate but my question is whats the best way of working out the vehicle length and width ? as I dont really want to be getting a tape measure out at the start of every shift lol… and does a width restriction include or exclude the wing mirrors ? Thanks folks I really appreciate any advice or input youve got
Width restriction does not include wing mirrors
Width is pretty standard at 2.5m. Length relies on pacing it out.

Length limits are few and far between.
And those that I’ve come across could be negotiated by a 12m rigid anyway!
