Vehicle defects

we had a motor defected because the ink in the digi tacho had run out
( the so call driver) couldn’t get a printout nothing was written on the paper :open_mouth:

I thought it was a thermo printer…ink free…in all digi tachos.

But I think he’s correct in law to defect the vehicle if the printer won’t work for whatever reason.

The printer uses thermal paper and requires no ink, and yes the driver is right in defecting the vehicle if the printer won’t work.

defect the driver with form p45.

probably put the paper in wrong :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

can you get a gv9 for that

lol, ink ran out, lol…classic

You must have a spare till roll of the special thermal paper, so the device always works. I would imagine if the print head (heated) has failed, then it is against the law to leave the yard with it unable to do a printout.

Such a fault isn’t something most of us would notice on our walkaround checks I reckon! :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

A P45 to all those who don’t carry a spare till roll, NOT this guy for putting it off the road. :smiling_imp:

digi tach does printouts? :open_mouth:

Did they put the roll in the wrong way round? It won’t print on the wrong side.

What about no radio? V.O.R? :grimacing:

Its defo a thermal printer, if it isnt printing the little sticker you get on the till rolls might have stuck on the print head.

The things aren’t cheap so you better hope that is what is wrong with it.

Don’t tell me you have never sat in an easily-avoidable traffic jam because you didn’t get 97.3 traffic reports to stop you going that way?

Palming a patsy off with a knackered radio may have some unexpected comebacks… :unamused:
