vauxhall tigra

my daughters looking at one,2005 1.3 diesel sport, ive never had a car with drop down hood, removeable[or whatever it does],do they leak in time, is the rest of car o.k,ta

Should be fine, folding hard tops been around lots of years now and no problems as long as routine maintenance etc.

My buddy has had one since they first came out and he loves them. Can’t say I have ever seen it with the roof down but he is not the youngest around but he likes it’s sporty performance and it’s a Vauxhall, good cars great for a young lady.Enjoy.

I used to have an 05 1.3 diesel Corsa, which a Tigra essentially is…
Which I never got rid of the Corsa though

My other halfs got an 08 1.4 petrol, the hard top doesn’t leak or let anything drip in!

Mind i will say the roof motor on hers had to be replaced a year after buying but it was a freak occurence apparantly and it was under warranty, no probs with it 2 years later.

Another thing is because of the folding roof you don’t get a spare tyre, just a tube of that get me home goo that you spray into the flat, so could be a prob.

Not sure about the diesel but in the petrol you can see the fuel gauge drop once you reach 60.

Despite this, she loves her car and its quite smart to drive too.

A bloke driving a Tigra? LOL. Tigra is 100% a female car, like Micra’s and Ka’s.

1.3 diesel lump is very underpowered but if insurance is an issue I can understand why you’re looking at that.

Looks a good little motor. £4500 - 5,000. Tax band D £95 Combined mpg 62

A diesel sports car eh? Who’d have thought it 20 years ago?

Anybody know of a diesel Stag to sell?

There was a bloke i remember who put a York diesel from a transit in a Jag XJ6 What a racket that made when he tried to put his foot down. black smoke and noise. But diesel was for nowt then.

Is your daughter a hairdresser? If not be aware she may be breaking the law by buying that car as it is a 100% hairdresser’s car.

A woman at work has one, she isnt a hair dresser but she is very small. Her seat is about as far forward and as high as it can go   Im not tall but when i sat in it my knees touched the dash and i needed the top down. When i set the seat i had it as far back as it would go and it still wasnt in my normal driving position, so if the driver has long legs id guess it would be a little cramped, im only 5 foot 9.
Boot seemed quite big though, i took an electric golf trolley out to her car and it just fitted in her boot, so it must be made with the mobile hairdresser in mind

This one has just gone to the scrap yard or possibly ebay!

Is he just deciding that a soft top whatever is a good idea because of 2 weeks sun or is it a long term aim?

I know many people who have bought a soft top / Targa top and regretted it in Winter, a car is for all year not just sunny days.

A totally unbiased report on this car :stuck_out_tongue:

I wonder how long it will take for the Clarkson haters to come out
