Hi does anyone know of any good or decent company’s that employ sub contractor van and drivers to do U.K or European I think the option of starting up in a unit and trailer is to expensive nower days

depending where your based head to colnbrook by heathrow quite a few companys round there use van subbies for there urgent long distance stuff, was in somewhere Friday and they had just dispatched a sprinter to Aberdeen with 3kgs !
First do your sums secondly. Most 99% of the EU work is by eastern Europeans and there charging around 45ppm. You could try UK freight in Leyland they do use UK based drivers and generally will get you something coming back other than that its the big yellow exchange. What size van are you thinking of running

It’ll have been done for about 80-90ppm one way or less if it was his return
The influx from the east has knackered it tbe last few years
And alit want it done cheap esp the forwRders etc
Freind mine has a few vans makes good money
Loads in both ways etc
But he said has some direct customers that want uk vans and drivers so gets the premium
On exports
The poles for eg will go out fir 40-50p a mile all in
And sometimes less
