Long Distance over the road drivers needed NO CDL required! (Louisville)
How would you like to drive a 2013 Mercedes Benz Sprinter all across the nation? We are an expedited trucking company in business for more than 29 years. We handle auto parts for all the major manufacturers as well as many other items for a variety of fortune 500 companies. This isn’t a job for everyone. You will literally live in the van while on the road for 6-8 weeks at a time before taking a break at home. There will be days where you will have to stay in the van without driving at all, followed by being asked to drive as many as 2400 miles within 48 hours. Most of our runs will be between 500-1600 miles. (We dispatch at an average rate of 50mph) While sitting and waiting for a load, you must be able to entertain yourself, either by reading, playing video games on your laptop or any other hobby or interest you may have. . .this for many people is the worst side of the job.
For those who can handle the lifestyle, you can expect to clear about $45,000 a year after your lease, fuel, taxes and other expenses have been paid. OTR semi-drivers as a whole make less than our Sprinter drivers. No Commercial Driver’s License is required.
Husband and wife or couples are welcome, but both must qualify and be considered as drivers.
Requirements:
- Must be a minimum of 25 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license with NO major violations or speeding tickets within the last 5 years.
- Must have a working cell phone – preferably with Verizon or AT&T
- Must have a working GPS device for directions
- Must be able to pass a drug test and be able to pay the $40 fee for the test
- Must be able to endure the lifestyle mentioned above in all kinds of temperatures and climates.
- Must be able to listen carefully and follow instructions and directions.
If you enjoy driving, want to see many if not all of the contiguous 48 states, have the ability to manage the “over the road” lifestyle, then give us a call and start your career with one of the top expedited carriers in the nation. We are headquartered in Louisville and only a phone call away.
You must call for an appointment. . .we cannot respond to your email

thought folks might like to see whats expected off you when you work in the USA for aprox 30k pounds a yr…youre not moving youre not earning a cent.
no sick pay ,very little holidays, sleep across the seats and more tae the point no logbooks/digi card drive as long as you can sit upright then a few miles more!.
jimmy.
I used to run mail from Milford MA to Tampa and Orlando FL in 38 hours and thats a higher milage, stopped to snooze when I could (microwave bed).
$45,000 a year is distgusting pay.
it says this:
“you can expect to clear about $45,000 a year after your lease, fuel, taxes and other expenses have been paid”
so, $45K is after tax and all other expenses.
I the Uk you would have to get paid around £37-38K to get £30K in you bank account.
Not great money, that’s for sure.
They do not expect an applicant to have a licence or experience, so they would probably pay for the willing ones to be trained at the company’s cost and those "up to 2400 miles in 48 hours " is not as tough as it sounds, they travel at higher speeds and there not much traffic on highways, roads mostly, runs are mostly straight and speedy, might get boring though.
What does this “our Sprinter drivers” exactly mean?
Obviously it is aimed at a wannabe truck driver.
It will pay for your licence and provide you with a guaranteed job at the end of your CDL course.
In the Uk you can pass your class 1 course and then spend months looking a for a job, or having to work for free for some companies trying to convince them you are good enough.
It’s somewhere around £500-£600 a week take home if it were in the UK. Not bad money but for living in a small van for months at a time it doesn’t sound too great. It would be a great way to travel the country and see the sights (if you had room to camp in the back with a mattess) but I can’t see it being a lifelong career. Maybe a good way for a single person to earn a quick buck. The new sprinters are comfy and refined and eat up the miles but I wouldn’t fancy sleeping across the seats.
A young Eastern Euro lad would jump at that or Mexican would be more apt.
Must admit it would drive me mental though.
‘LEASE’ … the thing you are all missing, it means you wil have no benefits, no insurance, no help for your future.
If you are going into a lease program it has to be worth it, clearing $45k per year is not worth it. Leasing a truck or van you have to have a turnover of at least $250k per year to stay ahead and make a decent living, unless you want no home, no family, no future. This job is for idiots who want to be coast to coast US drivers and that doesn’t last for long believe me…
In any case, it’s of no consequence because none of you back in the UK could get a work permit to drive a van in the USA FFS

back too the good old days lol
I see these ‘Expedited’ van drivers sitting around at various truck stops in their sprinter vans, they have sleeping bags and airbeds for comfort and not much else, some can be for a few hours, others for a few weeks. If you are taken sick, you loose everything you ever had to call your own and because you missed the lease payment you ow have a bad credit rating so you are ruined with no place to go.

If you had 8 hours sleep for both days you’d have to average 80mph to do that. Of course if you can manage without sleep then you only have to do 50mph average. For 48 hours. Nothing hard at all…
But sprinter only does about 400 miles to a tank. 2400 in 48 what’s the problem ■■? Many uk guys overnight for a week at a time in cans for much less
If its the Louisville company I visited many years ago that does expedited freight - then your sprinter van will probably have a better sleeper than anything in the European market, ( when they say lease, part of the deal is you “lease” one of their own vans on not the best rates) but very little chance to use the sleeper !!!- but you can earn if you don’t value your health to much- you got to remember this is time critical freight not volume and it could be as small as an envelope or a small machinery part that is stopping a multi million dollar plant from working, so the rates are at a premium. , but the pressure to deliver is also there,

If on a motorway they can do 500+ (that’s a 62 plate). We have an older one in work (56 plate) and I’m sure it has a long range tank fitted, seems to go on forever. I went from Warrington to Goole, to Blackpool and back to Warrington on less than half a tank.

There used to be an optional 100L fuel tank on Sprinters when ordering new.

Now you know what the easiest “cover job” for a terroist is going to be.
Put it another way, when was the last time we had a highly productive person passing strict immigration criteria come either here or the states - and then blow something up?
The two boston boys were not even going to be fruit machine engineers… They didn’t need to be to get into the country in the first place!
