Dozy can pick her up from the hospital in his Terberg shunter .

Good point. I can almost hear your invitation to the wetting the babies head party winging its way to you.
It is alledged that Carryfast will be doing the honours for baby wetting, for £185 per hour, you also get a six hour lecture on European history, Doctor Zhivago, pre and post Lenism and the brake fading.
Finishing off with British Leyland .
If she’s willing I think it’s a great idea and I love the idea of getting her in with a trebuchet
. For the next one hire a motorbike and sidecar, plenty came home in them years ago.
As far as trebuchets go they have a cracker at Warwick castle very impressive when you see it in action.
Could you get your mitts on an older unit that doesnt have seat belts?
As a fan of getting the wife into awkward positions and sticky situations I have no alternative but to say go for it. Be sure to get selfies and act natural if you see any rozzers.
Due to in cab distractions also make sure to take the right road home as you don’t want to take her up the wrong un.
Although that would have avoided this dilemma in the first place.

Don’t do it. I picked up my wife from Hull maternity hospital in my unit as the maternity hospital was just across the road from Hull docks where I ran out of and my car was in Beverley so it seemed like a good idea at the time. As mentioned it did involve some rather undigified shoving up the steps. He was premature so wasn’t coming home with us.My son is now 21 years old and my wife still tells people that I picked her up in the truck when he was born. I still get the disapproving looks of disbelief from those who she tells the tale to. Get a taxi, its not worth a lifetime of grief.
Sorry conor, Hull docks is NOT "just across the road "
You’re not thinking of Hull Royal are you? The old maternity hospital closed about 15 years ago and was on Hedon Rd, well past the prison IIRC, it was forty years ago I was last there!

nah. theres a reason for it. my dad picked me up in a rolls royce when i had just been born and my sister got a double decked london bus. i waana continue the tradtion of ridiculousness with a wagon.putting the baby seat in will be easy as it fits in with a normal seatbelt.
getting her in im thinking of some kind of trebuchet or a ramp built out of the bones of the elderly or similar.
Whats ridiculous about being picked up in a Rolls Royce (a car),or catching a bus.
If you can get hold of a trainers unit, those have 3 seats with seatbelts.
Cant see why you would want your missus climbing up 3 steps with a baby in arms. A tractor unit on its own will give her a horrible ride home let alone the baby, just get her a taxi and save all the hassle. Would the insurance even cover you to do this? I doubt it, have an accident and you could be in a world of ■■■■.
There are waaaay too many timid Timothy’s in this world nowadays who’ll voice disapproval at anything that doesn’t conform to their view of “normal”. For “normal” I read “boring and bland”.
Dear Maoster,
Cobblers,
Yours Sincerely,
