Using a 200w dc to ac power inverted

Hi after some advice .

I have a 200w dc to ac power inverter , can I plug this into a 12v socket and plug a camping kettle into it as it has a plug socket adapter on it . TIA

most likely not as the wattage of the kettle will far exceed 200w. I used to have a 12v kettle but took about 15mins to boil so put it going when starting to tip/load or on a break. Best to get an inverter and get it hard wired to battery. I’ve just got a 2500w continuous one fitted, handles kettle, toaster, microwave and more

A travel kettle is usually in the region of 800-1000w… you’ll need an inverter of at least 1500w to power it.
I have a 2000w that powers my tv, microwave and 1000w travel kettle without any issues.itll need wired to battery or use anderson plug if ones fitted…

It’s fine for a TV, laptop etc, just not for anything which is designed to produce a large amount of heat.
