i have problems with a daf95
It has come up with alternator warning in amber
and engine warning in amber
and alernator vollage high in red and it says STOP
its worse when pulling heavy weights

he’s right, as the next time you come to turn the ignition on…
Alternators run rectifiers to convert the ac to dc for the battery and regulators to keep it around the 24v mark (obviously a little more, 28v maybe), and this is what’s knackered by the sounds of it.
On most alternators it’s a bolt on part that you can just change that part, no idea of cost though on trucks.

Easy to do that just lose the chip in the key like i did on monday, i had loads of errors because of the immobiliser lol
Similar thing happened to one of mine a while back,I think it was the regulator pack,(clips to the back of the alternator).Called DAFAid,sorted it in no time.Wouldn’t recommend running it like it for very far though

Mate dont worry its very simple you need a new alternator i drive a 95 (yes even now in 2010) i had this on the control pan a warning V its alternater replace an all good. 
check fuse on starter motor this is the sensing signal to alternator they often corrode off so alternator thinks not charging enough and up output to above 28v then get warnings coming up hope this helps
Thanks guys the guv has put it into dafs at luton for them to sort out !!! Yeah right bet i get it back with all the faults and there say could not find anything wrong because when i dropped it off all the faults had gone from the screen

Sods law that happens all the time to me aswell 
mine did exactly the same thing, fixed at the big cost of 30p, all that was wrong was the plug that goes into the rear of the altenator becomes slack with vibration, you will see the clip that holds the plug in, get a cable tie and thread it round the back of the wire that is next to clip then over the little handle on the clip and tightin as tight as you can and that should stops the dash going bonkers and that buzzer drivin you nuts.
