I doubt the police would know what a Euro 6 XF looked liked anyway, even if they knew what an XF looked like compared to any other DAF.
I’m sure they were just looking for a “black DAF artic lorry” with that registration on it.
Am I the only one who thinks that after asking for help to find the unit the OP should be telling us what happened rather than just “we found it”, as if it was down the back of the sofa the whole time?

The main thing is it could have been worse and the forum may just have helped in that case.
I must admit, (not going back to read through the whole thing) it sounded like it wasn’t some massive theft scam, when it was supposed to have being going to somewhere like Donny, and it was traced in York.
If I was going to do one with a motor, I’d be heading in an opposite direction.
