Why’s it urgent? The poor boy’s not going to be unhit however quickly you find the driver…
A teenager is critically ill after being hit by a lorry’s wing mirror as he waited at a bus stop in west London.
The 15-year-old boy suffered serious head injuries in the accident on the A316, near the junction with Staveley Road in Chiswick, on Tuesday afternoon.
Police want to trace the driver of the lorry, which did not stop and continued towards the Hogarth Roundabout.
The vehicle, thought to have been a Daf LF lorry of 7.5 tonnes or more, had a distinctive company logo on the side.
CCTV of the vehicle has been released in an effort to trace witnesses.
Det Sgt Hartfree said: “I am appealing for information from anyone who can recognise the lorry involved or the company logo seen on the side of the lorry in the CCTV still.”
The accident happened at about 16:10 BST on the northbound section of the A316, south of the junction with Staveley Road.
It’s his own fault, should have taken his headphones out so he could hear the horn plus he’s only asking for it standing that close to the road anyway. Hopefully knocked some sense into him. The driver is a bell end as well.
I know it, but cant just think of the name
Some kind of storage/ document shredding outfit

is this a serious response or a OTT funny comment?
Hard to say who was at fault without being there but it just shows how careful LGV drivers have to be when passing close to the pavement
bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-19894724 Maybe he didn’t notice but I always pay attention to people standing on kerbs as im worried about the same thing happening.
Looks like a kinda recycling type logo?
One of the problems with large vehicles that the drivers need to take more care of is their bits sticking out. One of the reasons that bus mirrors are above head height where they can but the newer ones are larger and lower these days…
Looking at it I was thinking the same I was always told to check my mirrors as I am sure we all are, after passing pedestrians to in case I had sucked one in, lucky he didn’t fall under I say!
Does this really need 2 posts?
I’m sure anyone whos seen the first post and knows the truck logo has already phoned it in
Sorry take it you don’t make any mistakes? I can’t delete it so will leave that to the moderators…

First post , did I miss something
I’d say it ought to be considered to be a design fault to have a part of a vehicle which by definition is likely to be above the pavement when the vehicle is in use, mounted at head height.

Surely nobody is retarded enough to make such a comment without the intent of humour ?
I would think that it is part of the drivers responsibility to ensure that NO part of the vehicle goes over the pavement.

Obviously i didn’t make it OTT enough to be funny but I thought the headphone comment would have gave it away.
Driver has been traced.
Ken.
He’s been arrested
