Has anyone else noticed these trucks on the road ? Usually white volvos with red and blue stripes on the side? I didn’t think uranium got transported by road? And if true how much do they carry etc? Just interested really as I found it unusual
You know the saying, " If youve got it, a truck probably bought it " ha ha
I have heard of it being transported by road, but its in heavily built containers, i think they have to withstand a train hiting them, or something like that.
See them all the time round Preston,
think they haul out of a place between kirkham and Preston
Ainsworth martin I think.
They haul out of springfields fuels
just had a look on me maps
A lot of nuclear fuel and waste gets transported on the railways in special containers. Even though the trains are very short (1-2 wagons usually) they have to put two locomotives on them in case one breaks down.

I reckon no criminal record would help when applying.
Good wage and a nice healthy glow
The trucks with UAM on them most of them belong to Barkers from Burscough ind est.
See them in Thos Hardies Preston all the time, was chatting to one of their drivers only yesterday at Hardie, they go in for service there.
Cheers
