You could probably fit a 2 speed diff. or a range change box. Your bus was intended to pull loads of people around town at low speeds, so its geared accordingly.

Ahh i see, doesn’t exactly look built for speed though lol.
I used to drive a Bristol like that for United in the 80’s and they would do 55. Just needs opening up.
