Hi Simon,
Well done on the pass,be better to try and get employed direct by a firm, where abouts are you ? I’m sure someone on here can point you in the right direction, not the best time of year but there are starts out there if you look.
Working Wednesday to Saturday shouldn’t be a problem no such thing as weekends now, most of our place work weekends just the norm nowadays, best thing is to knock on doors and ask if anything going, best way to look the place over and see what’s what,if the place you go isn’t after drivers they will know who is,looks better if your sent to see a firm when you get there can tell them who sent you ,as with everything everybody knows everyone.
As for who to try someone who lives closer will give you a better idea but with your ADR it will open more doors good luck.
im surprised your only just asking about being self employed as a truck driver after you have got all your papers. If this was your actual goal and ya had half a brain surly would you not set a business up and then run all the courses through the business? at least then it may have been set up for 6 months… and you may have gained a little knowledge of what your actually doing… to try and run a truck all day plus do the business side as a newbie… good luck
sounds like you have not done much research wish you all the best though well done on your passes and your future
I have childcare commitments and I can only work on those days I mentioned. Daft question perhaps as the answer is obvious…go and ask them…but…
Do you think I could find something from Wednesdays to Saturdays?
Where would be a good place to advertise myself, perhaps post a CV?
Simon
If you want to work just Wednesday to Saturday was there any need to become a driver you must be doing something else on the side wink face lol! Anyway well done on the pass and all the best for the future!

If you had half a brain you would have read the post and understood it before jumping to conclusions and making your self look like an idiot lol
The op is asking about whether to go self employed and getting agency work, a very different thing to being an owner driver running your own business.
Think before you jump pal, less chance of making yourself look daft.
