Unusual T Cab

Spotted this unusual Scania T Cab Incident Support Unit on the M18 southbound near the M180 junction. Sorry about the quality of the photo but it was taken through the windscreen and on the move (by a passenger)

It’s an Impact Protection Vehicle or Crash Cushion, normally used when laying out / setting up roadworks, that one I believe is on a contract to a major scheme where free recovery is offered and it attends to fend off while the incident is sorted.

If the link works then more info on crash cushions here : highwaycare.co.uk/product_in … n-systems-

bet that driver feels like the doggy dangles

Thinking that the client’s person who signed off the tender for that contract may be getting his backside kicked into touch…

One of the best T-cab ever seen like new ,ask the guy if they would sell he said never , next year seen him in new 8x4 topline cab (ugly egg shape) ,he had sold it !! :imp:

 Why, it’s only a Tcab, not a chopped down Bentley with a crash cushion

They are only ex tractor units with the fifth wheel removed and a concrete block added for weight and rigidity then the cushion and lightboard added.

Here’s my old one, ex Securicor Omega
