It’s the same when they play Stairway, Freebird, Crazy Diamond, & War Pigs, they might be 9-10+ minutes long, but “LEAVE THEM ON” they can’t stop listening to their own Bloody Voices for more than 3 minutes.
They would be my Oldies list by the way. [emoji3]
I hate Freebird… and Sweet home Alabama, LS were over rated I reckon. Never heard War pigs on any mainstream station at all. Who done Crazy Diamond btw?
As you said nobody plays the entire Hotel California ‘duelling guitars’ bit same with the guitar solo by M. Knopfler on Sultans of swing.

I had a great one today, 2 women & a baby at the checkout in Sainsburys, all the shopping had been scanned & 1 of them decides that she’s got no cash, so off she pops to the hole in the wall, 500 yards away, with 2 people queuing behind, me being the second one ! Grrrrrrr, WTF !
It’s nearly as bad as Numptys sitting at traffic lights & are still sitting there when they go green-Durrrrrr ! WAKE UP ! It’s not as if you didn’t know what was going to happen, is it ■■?
Customers who ask for their load “first thing” and you arrange a time but they still don’t arrive for another 20-30 minutes or so. One customer had pulled this stunt twice on me recently. First time we agreed 7.30 as he was desperate to get muck off site, he turns up at 8.00. Second time he says he’ll be a bit late so we arrange 8am. He arrives 8.30.
Today we were told “anytime we like as long as it’s today” so arrive at 8.20 he no shows. Three phone calls to him are ignored so by 8.45 he has 4t of ballast dumped infront of the site fencing for him to move.
He didn’t know I had a reputation as a “dump and run” driver. He does now.
Supposed to have some stuff arrive today from DPD. The hour delivery slot comes and goes, turns out the driver doesn’t know where I live… I didn’t know DPD had agency drivers in…
