I’ve seen the video on YouTube before of the arclid wagon pushing a car sideways down the motorway but I have just witnessed a daf xf pushing a grey Vw polo sideways down the m62 eastbound … Crazy could just see smoke off the tyres and screeching … How it happens baffled me
not as baffling as a quadripple post
Lol kept saying timed out so resent it and 4 post made
I’ve seen that kind of incident several times coincidentally all with a Daf xf involved, strange
Must off had a bloody strong magnet attached near the cab maybe?

Thats to help the Dutch tailgate, before they give it large, I believe Paddy Scanias have them to
Haha good one I think the driver only noticed once he seen a load of smoke lol
passed it this morning thought it had just spun the dub around women on the crash barrier was having a good wail no wonder
Surely it helps the VW’s m.p.g thou!
I had to look twice lol , I seen him pull onto the hard shoulder and when he stopped the car spin round facing wrong way down motorway lol mental
Seen it twice in just over a week.
A week ago last Sunday there was a Volvo FH on containers that caught a Ford Fusion. He was pulling into lane 1 from lane two just coming past south mimms and said there was nothing in his mirrors when he checked. I was on my way back from Brands Hatch and pulled over to render what assistance I could. It mainly involved getting the old couple out of the Fusion and telling the bloke in the Volvo that it could happen to any of us.
The other one was today, something fairly big and white, I think it was another FH but I’m not certain, had a Polo on the M1 about three miles south of Dunstable. That was on the hard shoulder but I have no idea how the hell it got there.
i think it’s a new claim scam “cash for drag”
I saw this happen years ago when I was thrashing an old Old Iveco 130E15 along the A12 one morning. Fully loaded with an alternator driven fridge running -30c it used to struggle for speed going downhill so there was always plenty of heavies overtaking. Anyway there was a container wagon in lane 2 that was just about to start overtaking me but some smart arse rep type decided he couldn’t wait so undertook the container and dived for the gap so he could overtake me. He clipped the overtaking truck and ended up across the front of it. Matey in the container truck just steered the whole lot gradually across to the verge.
Truck power lol
You would crap yourself if you were in the car though, not being sexist but its usually the ladies who are bimbling along not realising they shouldn’t be dawdling near a truck, time exposed to danger & all that.
That’s not to say a true professional should know what’s about him even in his blind spot at all times. Happens more to people who like driving with the seat down, I had one lad who took reclining whilst driving to a whole new level and took out a German woman on the M1 by going 2 to 1 as she was oblivious & up & down the accelerator. I do like that blind spot sign on the side of Sainsbury’s wagons. Still his fault though.
It amazes me how many people are prepared to sit alongside you, they always seem to sit by a wheel too, never in the middle.
Maybe there’s a syndrome for it or the spinning wheel has an hypnotic effect on them?
I tell the mrs and kids, get the ■■■■ past and out of the way asap, safely of course.
Also, if they can’t see the driver’s face in the mirror, he can’t see them, do be aware of that if the lorry is catching something, he may pull out on them.
All basic common sense, it should be taught to anyone who uses the roads, no matter their method of propulsion…
Should be more in the theory tests etc on large vehicles because you see it everyday lunatics dicing with death , luckily no1 was seriously hurt yesterday probably just shaken up
instruct ■■? i’ve had a female driving instructor feel her pupil to undertake me as i was doing a sharp left turn into a narrow road . i was obviously taking all the road with left indicators blinking merrily , but she brought the pupil up the inside regardless . luckily i spotted them in time and stopped , got out and questioned her ( politely of course ) all she said was "i am a professional instructor and you are in the wrong " i was so mad at her i called the law , and when he turned up he shook his head and and had a few private words in her ear . she went very red and cleared off . with that kind of instruction , what chance do new drivers stand .
Where’s this female instructor who feels her pupils up for free? I may just take the test again.
good job the plod didnt see it or he would have been done for tailgating
