I know lots are not members but for those that are.
The union has just issued a new “Unite professional drivers guide”

small enough to fit in your work bag with no fuss and best of all…it’s free! (to members)
You can get yours by either seeing your union rep or your local/regional office.
WHY THE ■■■■ AREN’T YOU ALL IN A UNION■■?
Never mind the BS you are fed by the MSM and their CORPORATE Paymasters Why the ■■■■ are you all sitting on the sidelines. Get off your asses and fight the ■■■■■■■■■ because if the UNIONS don’t speak for you WHO THE ■■■■ WILL■■?

when they show some balls and do something for their members, then there may be a case for membership.
unions nowadays like to bow down to the polititions. they are very good at producing glossy leaflets, and inviting there members to attend “discounted” courses. the RHA, and FTA are just the same. money spinning scammers.
i would like to see some examples of what the unions have done for us in recent years.
if they do something positive, then i would expect them to be singing it from the rooftops, hence increasing membership.
but all i have seen is a bunch of blokes on a nice little earner.
Fantastic job they’ve done with the post office (our shop steward was always off, usually ■■■■■■ from the night before), great job with the miners, steel, and just about all manufacturing in the UK. I’m taking a leaf out of their book and looking after number 1 first and foremost.
I’m afraid I was in the union for a while, until we had a minor spat with the management over shift patterns and the reps made it crystal clear they weren’t interested. I’m afraid Unite are a very political body, and if your dispute doesn’t fit with their agenda they’re not interested.
Unions are not really concerned about protecting workers these days. They exist only to serve themselves and only really “get behind” industrial disputes likely to get them on the telly.
You’re better off keeping the sub money yourself, they’ll only give half of it to the Labour party anyway. Have a lovely couplf of beers instead.

Just a thought, will all you unite members stand on the picket lines with your fellow professional bus driving brothers, should they call for even more action to secure Olympic bonus payments?
That’s a joke with bus drivers. People don’t go long distance on buses especially north of the Thames with the tube and dlr. So give it to the guys Woking locally but not all over London
