Hi
I neither drink nor smoke. I do get a poor diet when out on the road, but strictly speaking that’s not the fault of the hours I work, but to crap food in some of those services. About time the Unions dealt with that instead of trying to take the bread out of my mouth. I don’t want to work long hours, but if I don’t I go for broke. Anyway, don’t they realise a lot of our time is spent ‘waiting’. Those ‘suits’ probably don’t but then again they get paid a lot more than we do, so can afford to work less hours.
What about those who drive vans and cars, don’t they drink, or smoke? Their turn next? Not, I think 'cos then they’d have the whole of the country against them. Not a vote winner!!
I’d have thought they’d be better employed in dealing with those agencies bringing in cheap labour, and housing it in multi occupancy houses, or in ensuring that those who come in from non EEC countries pay road tax here? No doubt that’s labelled under ‘Politically Incorrect’ so they’ll privately disapprove of it, but keep their gobs shut.
think that about sums it up
Sounds right to me.
Where do they get those figures from I wonder ?
I don’t drink or smoke at all but nobody asked me !
Anyway, what interrest do the unions have in knowing these things ?
