Sorry if I sound like victor meldrew, but “I don’t believe it”

I was browsing indeed (as is my hobby) and I happened across an advert for ce drivers for extra at Hinckley (sorry I can’t do links) but I can quote it:

“Ce drivers required for new contract in Hinckley… MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE AN AUTOMATIC ARTIC LORRY!!!”

I emphasised that last part. Exactly who are they hiring■■? And since when do they pass class one drivers who can’t drive the truck■■?

I think we have gone past the bottom of the barrel here folks!

it past it years ago,nowadays its only working out how far beneath it were digging.
the lack of gumption and ability from the more modern influx of drivers in general is mostly an embarrassment to the older brigade who had to be hands on and adaptable to the workload driving trucks that required some degree of manual dexterity unlike todays kebab meat in a hi viz paid from the neck down generation.
