There aren’t any. It doesn’t.
This is a publicity stunt, there is no way these are allowed.
In the early days of road trains in the Northern Territory of Australia, just after the war, there were such sights though I think the average speed was about 12mph and a journey involved many trailer-splitting operations to get over hills. Braking would have been a problem except for the low speed and the fact that there was no-one else around!
Nowadays I think 3 trailers is about the norm, except specialist bulk ore trains which normally run on private roads.
Salut, David.
We’ve had bigger than that in here.
I’d like to see the driver get that into our local Kwik Save
Well officer, the cab went through on green, but I’m not accepting 85 fixed penalties for the trailers going through on red!
dam 87 trailers…i wanna know how much hp was that truck
Just For The Record tells how Kalgoorlie’s Doug Gould and his mates connected 117 trailers to a Kenworth Truck powered by a tenacious 600 horsepower Caterpillar engine to make the world’s longest roadtrain. The full road train rolled along on 2126 wheels, and was almost a one-mile long.
From this URL,
Doug Gould never had that many mates…
erm did i put my reg plate on?..how the hell do i do a brake light check!
Actually, in Australia, 4 trailers is common in some areas.
Here in the US, there are many places where you can pull 3, but they are only 28’6" long ‘pup’ trailers. Just outside my office, however, I can watch long-nose tractor units pulling 2 48’ trailers down the NYS Thruway…
