UN Climate report!

Major airlines have already started to add a green Bio fuel charge to tickets :open_mouth: I didn’t expect that so soon :open_mouth: rt.com/business/545600-airl … gn=firefox

Oh er Missus! more trouble at mill. “The UK Government is being taken to court by Friends of the Earth and ClientEarth over its Net-Zero Strategy, with the groups claiming that the policies detailed will not result in the emissions reductions promised under legally binding climate targets.” :open_mouth:

“Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak are expected to announce new measures to alleviate the energy price crisis in the coming days. Proposals include a temporary suspension of VAT on energy bills, a windfall tax on oil and gas producers and a temporary suspension of the ECO levy. Energy companies are also calling for financial support packages.” edie.net/news/11/UK-Governm … -Strategy/

Ey up! The upcoming carbon pricing levy on road transport & buildings might not be down to the end user & instead the oil majors might have to pick up the tab as they say the polluter must pay not the small house holder or car owner.

"As part of its Fit for 55 proposals, the European Commission has proposed including the road transport and buildings sectors into the bloc’s carbon market from 2026 (known as the Emissions Trading System “ETS2”). Fuel suppliers like Total and Shell would need to buy pollution permits for each litre of fuel they put on the market. As the market is currently designed, they could then pass this cost on entirely to end-consumers. This could disproportionately impact poorer citizens driving their cars or heating their homes.

Carbon pricing for road transport and buildings is necessary to ensure the EU meets its 2030 climate targets, as it will reduce the demand for fossil fuels and private cars[1]. But the burden shouldn’t only fall upon the consumer."

Yes, the path to a new green and pleasant land is looking less appealing and divisive as the weeks go by, there are going to be some big u turns ahead!

Basically nuclear is dangerous anything but green and unaffordable.
Biomass is a laughable contradiction if it’s all about ‘CO2’.Its also 20p + per kWh.
If the aim is to artificially increase the price of fossil fuel to stop its ‘use’ ( by consumers ) then who else other than the ‘consumer’ is that plan meant for.

Well well well! Berlin have had to appease their coalition green partners with a €200Billion sweetner for climate change protection by 2026. "The money would go towards “charging infrastructure, hydrogen technology, the modernisation of industry” as well as the “abolition of the EEG surcharge” in a bid to relieve the citizens straining under record-high energy prices.

So now we know for sure the supposed climate change and the North Sea is empty narratives are total bs.
The truth is none of our own oil and gas for us so that they can give it all to China and Germany.

Everybody seems to be getting a slice of north sea gas fields except the UK, Since Russian gas has been turned off the Norwegian - Poland gas pipeline has resumed. euractiv.com/section/energy … -gas-link/

You mean the same ‘everybody’ that said we must leave it all in the ground to save the planet from being cooked.
The same government that says we have to stop using oil and gas and go all nuclear electric.
Also their useful ‘climate’ scam idiots who said the North Sea has run out anyway when anyone calls them out on their bs climate agenda.
When it’s obvious that the government and them are doing what’s best for China.
At the expense of nuclear disaster for us at 30p per kWh for the privilege.

They couldn’t make it up.
Translates as we have to minimise/cancel our fossil fuel use so as to maximise the amounts of fossil fuel available for export to exempt China under the Paris Accord and Agenda 30 surrender terms. This is what a surrendered country looks like.Climate change the North Sea has run out all bs.

Yeah I read about that & Clientearth have already drawn up battle plans & getting Human rights lawyers onboard calling it the new frontier in environmental protection law.

The right to irradiate us all in a nuclear disaster or wreck fields under solar farms and burn trees for biomass you mean.
All so that our fossil fuel resources can be exported to sustain sweatshop economies.
Not much point in having elected government’s if we’re going to allow a deluded vociferous minority to rule us.

There’s also a ‘New kid on the block’ with more teeth than Natural England or the Environment Agency called (OEP) Office for Environmental Protection which will hold public authorities & governments to account against environmental targets & laws.

Targets set by elected government’s.Or what’s the point of elections.Who elects the OEP.
In this case that means the laughable oxymoron of the ‘OEP’ being there to enforce Bozo’s anything but green nuclear, biomass and solar fuelled utopia.
So that he can export our oil and gas.

Oh! er Missus, Another high court case the government has lost (they haven’t won a single case yet :open_mouth: ) against their NetZero policy. It’s been deemed unlawful & they’ve been ordered to come up with new details to get back on track & pay all court costs to the environment groups. Not much point in democracy if unelected judges run the country.

I read somewhere that the planet goes through this cycle every so many thousands of years

You are correct, and if you look at the amount of pollution spewed out of Volcano’s around the world, you will find Global Warming / Climate Change will not be reduced until you extinguish Volcano’s.
