Umbrella Schemes

Here’s one for some of you agency staff, Moneybox, Radio 4, last Saturday (5th June) @ 12.00- talking about Umbrella Companies/Schemes (or should I say Scams ?)

Download it onto Iplayer Radio.

I just listened to it & still don’t understand why they make you sign up for it, telling you some waffle about being Self Employed, you are not Self Employed, you work for the Umbrella Company & I believe that they should be looking after your pension & holiday pay.
If you are self employed, you will pay a lot less National Insurance [emoji6] but you will have to chase your own invoices to get paid, maybe that’s the route to go down ?
But how many big companies will accept hundreds of different invoices from hundreds of different drivers ?

Think I just answered my own question [emoji57]

It’s Just gone round in a circle in my head & I can’t see any other way than to use the Poxy Agencies !!!

Am I waffling ?
Yea, I’m waffling, just have a listen if your interested.

I think it is HMRC they are collecting tax ect from people they do not regard as self employed they also getting the company that employed them and are going back years :frowning:
