Ultimate movers...dave

Watching this now. Allelys boy taking a unit out of warehouse screaming he hopes it will go. Got at least 2ft either side.

Is this just trying to make an easy job look tough or is it scaring people from moving up in the industry thinking i couldnt do that?

Drama for the show.

You need to cheer up mate. If it doesn’t concern you why moan about?

Not moaning just stating facts. Plenty of room. Horse on driver.

Over dramatization for the telly, gets on my ■■■■ as well. Stobart Trucks and Trailers was the same which is why I stopped watching it.

All these trucking shows are over dramatized.

I’ve said before that the biggest clown in most of this type of program is the commentator :frowning:

I watched a couple of the “train truckers” programmes and they were pretty much ruined by the over the top commentary.

Sent from my mobile.

That’s what put me off Ice Road Truckers in the end. Every incident no matter how small was accompanied by “AND HE COULD DIE!!!”. Even the missus started taking the mick out of it in the end.

Proof if it were…

Ever needed the TV producers have completely run out of ideas to entertain us.

None of it is exciting yet still they insist on making ‘Daves crusade for smokey bacon crisps’ a saga akin to life or death. If they’re not doing that it’s the ‘coming up next’ section that all documentaries insist on doing. They show you what you will see in the next segment and then, when you get there, you are reminded of what happened less than 4 minutes ago to get us to this point.

Ice Road Truckers could have been interesting if they left the stupid ‘who’s in the lead with most loads’ cobblers out, the tedious shrieking violins every time someone dropped a cup of coffee, missed a gear or came within 6 feet of another truck.

Train truckers isn’t interesting at all. It tries to dramatise things than just aren’t dramatic.

I have never watched a single second of Eddie Stobart runs around like a headless chicken and I never will.

Aren’t Luke C an the boys gonna be doing some TV for Channel 5?

That should be interesting…

If you find a bunch of sad acts who have done the square root of f[zb]k all driving talking about themselves and driving on the M1 interesting then no doubt it will be.

I saw a bit of a programme flicking through channels a while ago, some rigid hiab delivering a bit of a plane to Duxford, all the usual “gruelling journey” “perilous task” yawnfest. What’s next, camera crew following a plumber and a sparky round?

Already been done mate

I sense this threads starting to slip like that last epic satire the ‘Favourite Road legends’ one.

We can’t let it happen again people, that thread was golden [emoji38]

Personally I’m keeping my eyes open for their impending tv show, ESPECIALLY if those two lovely ladies from Europe may make an appearance.
I’d happily knock the snow off their cab steps to assist with night heating duties, after all as professionals… (or aspiring in my case)… we must stick together.

They can thaw my frostical any time, actually scratch that, bloods gone south already [emoji20]

Don’t worry we’ll keep an eye on it. :grimacing:

They killed eddie off the TV ffs, don’t let the legends go too before they’ve truly bloomed.

Gotta say though there are some good lads who do vlog, nice to see the scenery upon the various rocks around the globe, types of work…

Train truckers was good, purely as I’d love to try heavy haul work, plus it’s nice to see the old iron not been smelted for new kias if nowt else factual about it [emoji849]

I used to watch Train Truckers but got tired of the same two words that are always cranked out every five minutes in these sort of programmes - “under pressure”.

Also constantly banging on about the slightest error will make the loco or whatever fall over.

There’s got to be a drama or a crisis every 30 seconds - a bit like Last Tango In Halifax on a low loader.

Rant over - Matrons coming.

Can you define ‘‘interesting’’ ?

If you find out what day and time it’s on, let me know.

I need to make sure I ain’t in.

Yes, but I feel if I do you may miss out by not tuning in for yourself, I’d hate to spoil the anticipation as after all the chase is better than the kill for many[emoji106]

I bet they’ll go down better than a lady of the night on Christmas eve with the fan base should they break onto the big screen as rumoured, I foretell this could blow Stobarts, even Kings out the water for factual content.

Now that would be something spectacular to watch [emoji38]

Maybe one of the lads will pop in an confirm our hopes?

Thank goodness he’s left the company in Cricklade then.

If you get more than one artic plus a TV crew in Cricklade the rest of us won’t be going anywhere anytime soon

We did do some filming with Channel 5, Yes.

Nothing major though. Just a little bit of a “who we are & What we do” kinda thing

it was filmed at Truckfest SouthWest (Shepton Mallet) Last year

Last we heard it was going to be aired around Christmas 2019. Im gonna say thats been delayed - haha

Anyway, I received a message today saying that we were being spoken about on a couple of threads so thought id take a look. lol

and as for not working in Cricklade anymore… yea, i left
Still live in the Area though…
I’ll get the crew filming me on Calcutt street just to ■■■■ the locals of more - haha

I’m not a local although used to do the Sunday night pub quizzes and kept a horse there
