""ulidia" freight ferry,

:sunglasses:Hi, did any of you elder guy’s ever have the misfortune to have to cross
the irish sea on that old tin can, what ■■■■ heap that was, crossed one night on her in a force nine, my motor was on the top open deck, i had visions of her disappearing over the side, or at least the load that i’d got on,"cardboard “from
lurgan, held on tight to the rails and watched the front end go down deep into the water, (thought it was a submarine diving) then up she came and the back end went down, rocking from side to side as well, certainly could’nt risk a kip in the cab, on thinking about the"free enterprise” i wondered how many crossings i made fast asleep in the cab below decks, don’t care to think much about it now, crossed the irish twice each way every week for 2 years, got to be quite a sailor, had a lot of good meals, had a lot of bad meals, the old transport cafe’s stood me in good stead, got my own immune system,
any topics on this boat or the “DARNIA” welcome,
ta-ta stan the man, (c b handle 70/80s “golliwog”) but i’m not,
it’s only a piece of metal
with wheels on :unamused: :unamused:
